About Norfolk Strong

Norfolk Strong was started in 2024 by a group of Norfolk neighbors who wanted to organize their voices, their skills, and their generosity to support the folks and families who will be staying at the Bay State Overflow Facility.

We aim to support the Town of Norfolk in securing additional funding needed to accept these new neighbors and implementing successful integration plans.

We support our whole community - new, old, and guest.

When there’s a need, we meet it. That’s what Norfolk does.

Current Community Actions - Welcome Wagon

Back pack with school utensils
Wardrobe closet full of colorfull clothes in dressing-room.

Schools on Wheels Back Pack Drive

We are directing donations to Schools on Wheels who organizes amazing back pack drives all over the state for kids in need. All Norfolk kids in need will be benefiting from Schools on Wheels later this year.

Community Kid Care Bags

in appreciate for the Norfolk police and fire departments, the Norfolk Strong Welcome Wagon provides small bags of goodies for the department members to carry with them to give to any child they encounter in our community.

Hygiene Kits for Baystate Guests

Heading Home, the service provider for the Baystate Shelter, has asked for kits that include shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, combs, toothbrushes and other essential items for self-care. Drop items off at our collection bin at the Norfolk LIbrary! We’ve collected 200+ bags!

We are always looking for our next activity to strengthen community ties.

Community Closet

Norfolk Strong understands that there should and must be a free community closet with clothes and other essential items for residents who are our most vulnerable and experiencing tough times. We’re in planning phases right now, but stay tuned.
